OptiFind is a web-based Lost and Found platform rebuilt from Found It! using a modern tech stack for improved scalability, accessibility, and user experience. The platform introduces a public searchable system with verified user access, optimized indexing, and a user-friendly landing page ensuring reports remain discoverable and well-organized.
Problems
Limited Discoverability
Lost and found reports were shared on social media and lost visibility quickly with no structured search system.
No User Verification
Anyone could post claims without verification, leading to false claims and untrustworthy recoveries.
Outdated Technology
The original Found It! platform used Laravel with limited scalability and a dated user experience.
